Carbon stirring rods are made of high density fine grain graphite Made in USA .
The carbon rods are used when melting Gold and Silver metals with Torch, in Gas or Electric Melting Furnaces.
Rod is used for stirring the molten metal in order to get a good homogenous mix of the alloys in Gold, Silver, Brass and any other nonferrous metals.
Note: DO NOT USE WITH PLATINUM the graphite will contaminate the metal.
