This stirring rod is 1/2" in Diameter, for use when melting larger amounts of metal. Stir your precious metals, scrap metals, while melting.
The carbon rod is used when melting metals with Torch, in Gas or Electric Melting Furnaces. Rod is used for stirring the molten metal in order to get a good homogeneous mix of the alloys in Gold, Silver, and Brass.
Note: NOT to be used with Platinum, Graphite will contaminate Platinum Metal.
Carbon stirring rods are made of high density fine grain graphite. Made in USA
