Crucible melting dish has a 12 T.Oz. Capacity, can be used for melting and pouring Gold, Silver, Copper and Brass. We have placed 1-Lb of Solid Brass pieces in the Crucible for display purposes (see pictures).
Crucible is made of High Grade Fused Silica, withstands temperatures up to 2500°F/1,371°C.
Crucibles should be glazed with Borax prior to use, which also helps extend the life of the crucible. Crucible has a solid thick Extra Heavy bottom base. Our Crucibles are long lasting "A-1 TOP QUALITY" Crucible.
WORK SAFE *Protective Clothing, heat gloves and eye protection must be worn when melting metals. *Safety factors must always be the Priority.
