Dish Crucibles are the most commonly used forms of crucibles for melting small amount of precious metals. Crucibles are made with the Slip Cast Process, (High Grade Ceramic Material is prepared then Poured in Molds and Cured) thus they are long lasting "A-1 RATED TOP Quality" made of High Grade Fused Silica, withstand temperatures up to 2500°F / 1371°C. MADE IN ITALY
Crucibles should be glazed with Borax prior to use, to cure and prolong the life.
