Sterling Silver .925 Grain for casting, a high grade quality prepared grain guarantees excellent results for silver jewelry production.
This grain can be used in lost wax casting method. The result is consistent bright-white lustrous finished quality metal castings.
This Sterling Alloy is made specifically for our distribution with the highest standards assuring the Consistency and Quality. Sterling Silver grain contains 92.5% Pure Silver and 7.5% Pure Oxygen Free Copper.
Technical:
Flask Temp: Dependent on parts, a starting point could be 1150°F for 2 Dwt rings with detail and 1080°F for heavy gents rings.
Quench Time: 15-20 minutes after casting.
Pickling: Place sterling in for a few minutes until the copper oxide is removed.
Re-usability: A 50% fresh and 50% recycle ratio is recommended. Regraining is the preferred production procedure
