This Heart Shape disc cutter, steel block comes with 4 hardened steel punches. The disc and punches are made of high-density steel. Disc cutter features 4 hardened steel punches to cut out perfect heart shapes in 4 different sizes: 11, 16, 22, and 28 mm (+/-).
The punches are machined flat and smooth at the cutting end to create perfect oval blanks every time, the end of the punches all beveled for use with a heavy mallet or dead hammer. This disc cutter is made to be used in Jewelry making, for cutting precious metals.
The capacity of the cutter punches is up to 18-gauge soft metals, non-ferrous metal. Ideal for Copper, Silver, Gold, Aluminum and Brass.
We recommend that the metal be annealed (Softened) and utilizing some oil to prolong the life of the edges. It is best to use on a rubber mat or block to ease the cutting process.
