Xuron 9180 cutter is designed and manufactured to cut through tough Kevlar® fiber strength component of fiber optic cables.
Uniquely designed serrated edge prevents the fibers from sliding out the front of the shear while cutting. Cutting edges are heat treated to a hard 57-59 RC and feature an ultra durable plasma spray coating to ensure long tool life.
Xuron’s 9180 shear is user friendly while optimizing durability and precision, the 9180 fits comfortably in both hands. Ergonomic Xuro-Rubber non-slip grips cushion the hand.
Elimination of finger loops ensures positioning flexibility to help alleviate fatigue. A convenient return spring re-opens the shear after each cut. Ideal for all applications that involve extended cutting time, trimming thick photo-etched parts, electronics, hobby plastics, basketry, caning, suited for cutting a variety of high strength fibers, including Fireline®, fishing lines and in bead stringing wire work. - This industrial-duty cutter is made in the USA.
