File cards are made of wood and have hardened and tempered sharp steel wire bristles are set in a hardwood handle. These are the 2 types that are made by Lutz.
Ideal for Machinists, Mechanics, Woodworkers and for anyone that uses a file in cutting, cleaning and roughing applications.
File cards are for file chip cleaning, designed to remove small particles that clog teeth and reduce the file’s ability to cut properly.
*** We have also included a PICK that is made of tempered steel - picker for picking out pieces of metal that may become wedged in the file teeth.
Set provides the Stainless Bristles for general file cleaning, Stiff Bristle for the finer cut files and a handy pick for clogged bits in the file teeth. A workshop bench tool necessity, a clean file will work best cleaning a file will extend the life of the file.
