Round Ball shots provide effective finishing action on surfaces, are ideal for generating fine surfaces. Round ball shape peen down and burnish surfaces and enhance parts with high reflectivity. They will not get into grooves corners or recesses. They work best and have the most contact on surfaces.
The product is made of: AISI type 302 stainless steel, has magnetism. Media is specifically for applications where good corrosion resistance is important. There is no need to use any rust inhibitors with this stainless steel media. Corrosion-resistant stainless steel reduces the treatment for storage, maintenance and handling costs of carbon steel media.
Heavier in weight and corrosion resistant, this shot may be safely used with acid soap solutions. This media is used in barrel and vibratory tumblers to burnish metals. AISI type 302 stainless steel media are for applications where good corrosion resistance is important, but hardness is not. They offer good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, dyes, food, environmental sterilizing solutions and many organic and inorganic materials.
