This Buff Rake is designed for use with buffs from 4" up to 8" diameter providing a smoother surface after removing dry compounds.
The serrated teeth of the filler are not as aggressive as other rakes due to the height of the cleaning teeth.
Note: See the 4th picture - as a comparison of the serrations, the one on the left is the shorter teeth which comes with this rake.
The filler is mounted on a double ended wooded handle, by using the serrated edges of the rake, remove old dry compound...make the wheel polishing edge like new. The metal Rake is centered on a wooden holder that acts as a handle while applying light pressure to the turning-rotating wheel-buff. Buff rake for cleaning buffing wheels, removing built up residue compound from polishing wheel surface.
A build up amount of compound especially dried out hardened material that has accumulated and dried into the buffing wheel can scratch the surface of item being polished.
Cleaning old compound and for dressing buffing wheels - will give you the best result.
